Jon Whitcomb (1906 – 1988) – во время войны служил в ВМФ (все американские иллюстраторы там отслужили, что ли?..), в пятидесятые годы стал ведущим художником Cooper Studio, одним из самых популярных и высокооплачиваемых иллюстраторов женских журналов – и одним из самых наиболее презрительно критикуемых.
