Viktor Tsoi (21.06.1962 - 15.08.1990) - rock-musician, songwriter and artist. More known as founder and leader of rock band “Kino” Initially Tsoi and several famous in a narrow circles musicians rehearsed their songs at flats before not numerous audience. Later Tsoi got acquainted with Boris Grebenshchikov who helped him to establish a group. First performances was of success and “Kino” became famous. Their songs broached social aspects of life, that caused a wide public response. At the time of Perestroika their texts were actual, especially antiwar. The death of Viktor Tsoi aroused many conspiracy theories of it, but none of it was ever proved. Public outcry was so strong that some fans committed suicide. Thousands of people came to the funeral. For the whole generation Victor Tsoi became a symbol of protest. Till now his fans write on walls “Tsoi zhiv” (Tsoi is alive) showing that his neither he nor his creativity are forgotten
